What are the effects of bromelain?

Wound healing: Bromelain has anti-inflammatory action, and can therefore have beneficial effects on wound healing. Several clinical trials have reported faster rates of edema and bruising reduction in people supplemented with bromelain.

What is nattokinase?

Nattokinase is used in traditional Japanese medicine for cardiovascular health.
Its fibrolytic action helps to dissolve fibrin, the protein that forms blood clots.
It helps to improve blood pressure and reduce arterial tension.
It helps to break down arterial plaque.
The unsuspected effects of nattokinase.

Nattokinase is a remarkable enzyme derived from natto, a traditional Japanese fermented food. Natto is created by introducing the bacterium Bacillus subtilis to boiled soybeans. This bacterium produces nattokinase as it breaks down the proteins in the soybeans during fermentation.

Nattokinase was first identified by Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi in 1980 while he was studying at the University of Chicago. Dr. Sumi was aware of data from Japan showing that natto consumption was linked to heart health benefits. So, he put natto in a Petri dish containing a large blood clot and found that the clot was completely dissolved in 18 hours. This anticoagulant effect was far more powerful than anything he had studied. Dr. Sumi then isolated and determined that nattokinase was the factor responsible for natto's coagulating action.

Monolaurin, also known as monolaurin, is a lipid found in coconut oil. Significant research shows that nattokinase supplements are just as safe and effective as consuming natto for heart health benefits.

Benefits of Nattokinase Supplement

Cardiovascular Health

Nattokinase is known for facilitating protein digestion, but it is also highly valued for its powerful "anti-clotting" properties. It works by breaking down fibrinogen, a key component of blood clots and atherosclerotic plaque, making it a powerful tool for promoting cardiovascular health.

High levels of fibrinogen are a significant risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Research shows that fibrinogen is more closely linked to cardiovascular mortality than cholesterol, highlighting its crucial role in heart health.
